About the Event

DESKLESS is a new community where organizational leaders of deskless and frontline employees can come together and talk about the ideas, concerns, and trends shaping their industries. The inaugural event series, Spark Sessions, offered deskless executives a chance to network and gain expert insight from industry leaders on setting up their workforces for success.
Each 2-hour Spark Session was split between education and entertainment with the goal for each event being to complement thought leadership with a fun and interactive activity. The LOMA team helped select and build a virtual environment and source unique engagement opportunities to help connect audiences and reinforce messaging from Nudge’s network of industry experts.
Beginning with a tea and chocolate tasting from Monarch Tea Co., Spilling the tea with deskless trailblazers saw CVS Health CMO Norman De Greve and Tony Weisman, the Advisor and former CMO of Dunkin’ sit down with CEO of Nudge, Lindsey Goodchild to discuss the current challenges facing frontline workforces.
The second session aimed to evaluate The ingredients of a high-performing deskless workforce with a cooking demo from the Food Network’s own Tanya Holland, and a powerhouse panel featuring Sarah Jordan, CEO of Mastermind Toys, and Rachel Huckle, Chief Retail Officer of Staples Canada. The two joined Nudge’s Lindsey Goodchild to divulge their key considerations in curating a high-performing workforce.
The sessions wrapped up with the release of Nudge’s The Deskless Report, analyzing survey responses from deskless workers and leaders in 2021 to assess the current state of the deskless workforce, sentiments then echoed in a custom improv show by The Second City. Futurist Andrew Au shared his thoughts on the findings, as we consider being Unscripted, not unprepared: what 2022 looks like for the frontline.

LOMAPALOOZA was born during the start of the Pandemic in 2020 with the goal of making the most of what became the new normal. It was about feeling good and doing good from home. This year, we chose to host a holiday version with fun interactive sessions that would get everyone in the festive spirit.
LOMAPALOOZA 2021
Bingo. Boards. Beats.
We at LOMA Agency were happy to host the 2nd annual LOMAPALOOZA on December 2.
The virtual experience kicked off with Drag Queen Bingo. Joining us with a red sparkly background, candy cane patterned dress, and Christmas music was Joy S. from The Screaming Queens. Joy really brought…the JOY throwing in punny jokes, performances and hosting a few exciting rounds of B.I.N.G.O!
No doctors were involved in this second experience where the lovely Sophia Cong from The Graze Anatomy hosted our Boards session. Here the audience had the opportunity to learn all about creating the perfect grazing charcuterie board and could follow along with a grocery list provided prior to the event. Sophia shared tips and tricks like how to create the perfect salami rose and answered many burning questions from the audience.
Last but not least, with a voice reminiscent of Billie Holiday and rap verses comparable to Lauryn Hill, the talented Butterscotch delighted us with her beautiful voice, on the spot rap beats using her loop station and piano. She performed her own songs and even wowed the group when she created a custom track about racoons aka trash pandas based on the audience chat.
LOMAPALOOZA was created with a for the people mindset. The last two years have been a challenge for everyone, and we at LOMA along with our supportive community were honored to be able to raise $1,943 to support the World Federation for Mental Health.

The Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces® Awards gala is a much-anticipated annual event, typically attended in person by the companies who are named leaders in the areas of employee engagement. Scored in eight strategic areas, or elements, winning organizations show demonstrated commitment to improving the working lives of their teams across North America and beyond.
After over ten years of hosting the event in-person, Achievers hosted this year’s gala virtually to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the winners while still having the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments.
It was critical to ensure that there was a celebratory, interactive, and fun atmosphere that made honorees feel truly highlighted. And while going virtual poses its own challenges, it also allowed a record number of attendees to participate, as organizations were able to extend the invitation to their broader teams.
To get the excitement going before the big day, the first 150 registrants received a custom branded celebration kit, full of delicious treats from various premium Toronto-based vendors, and a branded selfie light to ‘get their glam on’ in the gala’s virtual photo booth.
Hosted by the incredible Arisa Cox, host and executive producer of Big Brother Canada, the event program featured pre-recorded acceptance speeches from all the winners, who were asked different specific questions about their engagement initiatives to comprise a variety of segments throughout the show. Guests also enjoyed hilariously fast-paced interactive trivia games with Adam Growe, host of the hit TV game show Cash Cab Canada. They were able to play along with onscreen volunteers using their mobile phones for a chance to win prizes throughout the evening.
The end result was an evening of meaningful recognition, focused on the inspiring work of the winning organizations and, of course, having lots of fun in the process!

2020 CNF NIGHTINGALE MASKERAIDE – A VIRTUAL CELEBRATION OF NURSES
The 2020 Nightingale MaskerAide marked the first time CNF took its annual fundraising gala virtual – creating a national stage to shine a spotlight on the nursing community across Canada. For this 10th anniversary gala year, CNF raised just over $100,000 in support of nurses with a portion of proceeds going towards the Canadian Nurses Foundation COVID-19 Fund. Over 600 guests nationwide came together virtually to thank and celebrate nurses for their tireless efforts on the front lines and providing aid during this crucial time.
The evening featured a special live performance by award-winning and chart-topping Canadian singer-songwriter Serena Ryder and performances by America’s Got Talent Season 15 Golden Buzzer Winner Roberta Battaglia, and TikTok star Notorious Cree. There were also special messages from dignitaries and celebrities across Canada including the Honorable Patty Hadju, Hayley Wickenheiser, Lisa Laflamme and Rick Mercer to name a few.
As part of the event’s successful #ThankANurse social media initiative, nearly 150 nurses from around the country were nominated by their peers for going above and beyond, 80 of whom attended the event. A few of these nurses were also invited to share their stories live during the program, a highlight of the night for many attendees.
The evening also featured a virtual photobooth experience, sponsor lounge and an opportunity for guests to bid on an array of auction items through a silent auction platform before, during and after the event.
