Two years after Covid combined with a fast-growing organization meant Coconut Software was more than ready for their first company retreat. The goal of Making Waves YLW ’22 was to connect with fellow “Coconuts” many of whom had not met in person before, learn about the company goals, build relationships, and ultimately have fun together. Our team at LOMA Agency was happy to help set the groundwork for future retreats.
Making Waves YLW ’22 saw just under 30 staff attend virtually and nearly 120 staff join in-person in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia for a three-day retreat filled with keynotes, sessions and social activities. Events included a Kelowna themed scavenger hunt, local evening experiences at Sandhill Winery and Kettle River Brewing, team breakout sessions, and a tropical inspired awards celebration! The retreat also provided an opportunity for Coconut Software leadership to meet with their Board Members who enjoyed attending sessions as well as an intimate private dinner at CedarCreek Winery.

National Restaurant Association Show 2022
7shifts was keen to be exhibiting at the biggest show in the restaurant industry for the first time. As a first-time exhibitor, their objectives for the tradeshow were wide-ranging – brand awareness, lead generation, and relationship building.
Along with exhibiting at the show, 7shifts wanted to connect with attendees beyond the tradeshow floor. LOMA Agency curated three diverse experiences that provided the 7shifts team with an opportunity to connect with attendees for a more personalized experience. The ancillary events included a VIP dinner at Swift & Sons Steakhouse, a Wrigley Field tour with custom baseball jersey giveaways, and suite access to a fun filled afternoon watching the Cubs game.

After 18 months of exclusively virtual events, we at LOMA were thrilled to have the chance to bring people together again (safely) to celebrate the opening of Achievers’ new Toronto headquarters.
Achievers was built as a company that celebrates and enables employee engagement and recognition, and that was top of mind when designing their new space. With inspiring art installations, collaborative workspaces, and little surprises tucked away on every floor, they were so excited to show it off to their team.
By booking small groups with staggered timed arrivals, over 200 staff were able to tour the office over the course of a full day that included individually packaged (and delicious!) food service, and, of course, some amazing Achievers swag to take home. Guests were greeted along the tour by fun treats like welcome mimosas, a steel drum player and tropical mocktails in the relaxing “retreat” area, a saxophone player in the hidden Speakeasy, and a vintage gelato cart serving up tasty ice cream in the outdoor courtyard.
LOMA was proud to support Achievers in this event in every element from initial ideation through to onsite logistics and staffing.
Welcome back, Achievers!
