About OITP

The Ontario Intensive Treatment Pathway (OITP) is an unprecedented model that will transform the intensive treatment system in Ontario and improve access for children and youth up to the age of 17 with the most significant mental health needs.

The OITP will be a provincially guided, regionally delivered, connected model of treatment for children and youth with the most intensive mental health needs.

The Ontario Intensive Treatment Pathway represents a major, systemic effort to reimagine intensive mental health treatment for children and youth in Ontario. By combining funding, data, provincial standards, regional delivery, and stakeholder engagement, the OITP hopes to address long-standing gaps: inconsistent access, uneven quality, long wait times, and inequity in care.

About the Symposium

The Ontario Intensive Treatment Pathway (OITP) hosted its first symposium in Ottawa, Canada. The goal of the Symposium was to continue building awareness and learning about the OITP, to inform the further development of the OITP model and Regional Intensive Treatment Networks, and to support the system transformation that the implementation of the OITP would drive.

LOMA Agency was proud to help bring together international experts, system leaders, and service planners to further develop the foundational components of the OITP and build system readiness. Working alongside the OITP Team, advisory groups, and senior leaders from across child and youth mental health and related sectors, LOMA supported a dynamic environment where learning, collaboration, and planning advanced the next phases of the OITP model. Nearly 300 attendees experienced an engaging program featuring keynote speakers, panel discussions, and interactive sessions that fostered meaningful dialogue and actionable strategies to drive positive change for children, youth, and their families.
