About the Event

The Opportunity

For the second consecutive year, Achievers partnered with LOMA Agency to produce Recognition Next, a flagship gathering designed to bring together HR leaders, culture champions, and recognition professionals for a day of learning, networking, and inspiration.

Unlike traditional conferences, Recognition Next was designed as an immersive experience—one that would foster authentic peer connections, showcase emerging thinking on workplace culture, and create meaningful dialogue between customers, industry leaders, and the Achievers team.

The goal was simple: create an environment where recognition could move beyond being viewed as an employee engagement initiative and be repositioned as a strategic business driver.

The Experience

Hosted at The Quay in Toronto, Recognition Next 2026 brought together customers, prospective clients, executives, and thought leaders for a highly curated one-day experience focused on the future of workplace recognition. The event opened with visionary leadership content, including executive presentations from Achievers leaders, a CEO keynote, and a fireside conversation featuring insights from Harvard Business Review. The program then moved beyond traditional keynote sessions to create opportunities for attendees to engage directly with experts, peers, and product leaders throughout the day.

Panel discussions explored topics ranging from leading through change with recognition to measuring return on investment and evolving recognition strategies at every stage of organizational growth. Customer stories from organizations including General Motors, Bell Canada, and Würth showcased how recognition programs can influence culture, performance, and business outcomes.

But one of the defining characteristics of Recognition Next 2026 was its intentional emphasis on relationship-building. Guided networking experiences were woven throughout the agenda, ensuring attendees had multiple opportunities to connect with peers facing similar workplace challenges. Rather than separating content and networking into distinct moments, the event blended the two into a single attendee journey.

The experience was further enhanced through an interactive activation marketplace that brought together product demonstrations, partnership showcases, customer engagement opportunities, and hands-on learning environments. These activations transformed networking from a passive experience into an active exploration of ideas and solutions. The environment was complemented by fun food and beverage add-ons like a custom mimosa station, liquid nitrogen ice cream bar, all-day specialty coffees provided by Propeller Coffee Co., and a build-your-own popcorn bar that quickly brought out everyone’s inner child!

In addition to the main-stage content, attendees experienced several signature moments that reinforced the event’s core purpose. The A-List Awards celebrated customer achievements and recognition excellence, while exclusive A-List and customer advisory panel dinners created opportunities for deeper engagement among top customers, executives, and community leaders.

The result was an event that felt intentionally personal—balancing thought leadership with authentic relationship-building and creating opportunities for attendees to both learn and contribute to the conversation.

The Outcome

Recognition Next 2026 successfully strengthened Achievers’ position as a convener of recognition professionals and workplace culture leaders. Through a carefully designed blend of thought leadership, customer storytelling, peer connection, and experiential engagement, the event created meaningful opportunities for attendees to exchange ideas, explore emerging trends, and build lasting professional relationships.

More importantly, the event reinforced a central theme echoed throughout the day: recognition is no longer simply a cultural initiative—it is a strategic lever for organizational performance, engagement, and growth.
